College Behind Bars - Preview Screening and Discussion

Join WETA for a preview screening and discussion of the new PBS documentary film COLLEGE BEHIND BARS. The panel includes award-winning filmmakers Lynn Novick and Sarah Botstein, joined by several formerly incarcerated Bard Prison Initiative (BPI) students who are featured in the film. This WETA co-production, filmed over four years, introduces a group of incarcerated men and women striving to attain college degrees through BPI. Their stories of perseverance raise important questions about education and incarceration, and what prison, ultimately, is for.
