Dan Brown, the celebrated author of "The Da Vinci Code" and other novels, is also a composer. He's put both his talents to work in a new children's picture book, "Wild Symphony", that comes with its own streaming symphony. Classical WETA's Nicole Lacroix caught up with the author/composer speaking from his New Hampshire home. Mr. Brown talks about growing up in a music-loving family on the campus of Phillips Exeter Academy, earning a double major in composition and creative writing in college, navigating his early successes and failures, his composing technique, and his new Robert Langdon novel, now in the works. In "Wild Symphony", he wanted to create a literary and musical work that was accessible and fun for children and their parents to enjoy together.
