All this month on Choral Showcase, we follow the hero's journey. This week, it's Alexander Nevsky, a cantata by Sergei Prokofiev, from the 1938 Sergei Eisenstein film of the 13th century Novgorod Prince who defeated German invaders at the Battle of the Ice. We'll follow with Antonin Dvorak's hymn, The Heirs of the White Mountain.
