Insider Thursday: Celebrate Classical WETA 90.9 FM

"Insider Thursday" celebrates Classical WETA 90.9 FM

The WETA Leadership Circle took members behind-the-scenes of Classical WETA 90.9 FM with a matinee and evening session of "Insider Thursday" on March 1, 2007. Highlights of the event include a string quartet performance by student musicians from George Mason University.

Almost 80 donors and guests were welcomed to WETA by President and CEO Sharon Rockefeller who gave background on the recent format change. Dan DeVany, Vice President and General Manager of 90.9 FM and Jim Allison, FM Program Director, offered thoughts on the exciting new initiatives under consideration for Classical WETA.

Guests had the opportunity to mix and mingle with WETA on-air announcers John Chester, Nicole Lacroix, Mary Cooley, David Ginder and Twana James and also tour the 90.9 FM studio with producer Deb Lamberton. Click here to learn more about Classical WETA 90.9 FM and it's on-air hosts.
