Classical WETA Studio Tour
November 2007
Friends enjoyed a private tour of Classical WETA's production studios with station manager Dan DeVany. They learned about digital editing techniques in a demonstration by Twana James, toured the 50,000+ CD library, and watched on-air host John Chester open his afternoon show.

National Symphony Orchestra Opening Night
September 2007
Friends were invited to attend this festive event and concert at the Kennedy Center. Internationally renowned soprano Renee Fleming was the Orchestra's special guest.

Friends watched the taping of this nationally syndicated program featuring astonishing performances by musicians still in their teens. A special reception followed where Friends had the chance to meet these artists of the future.

In the past several months, Friends have received invitations to recitals by pianist Murray Perahia, baritone Dmitri Hvorostovsky, and the young winners of the Vladimir Horowitz Competition; tickets to Folger Consort performances; and a chance to experience the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra's presentation of Handel's Messiah, among other opportunities.
