Ambrose Akinmusire

Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center, Kogod Theatre

A Blue Note recording artist, this young trumpeter is one of the most buzzed-about jazz artists of his generation. Winner of the 2007 Thelonius Monk Competition and Downbeat’s 2012 trumpet player of the year, Ambrose Akinmusire and his quintet play the intimate Kogod Cabaret at The Clarice for two sets of “killing melt-your-face-off jazz.”
