DCLX'tra: Chelsea Reed and the Fair Weather Five!

Spanish Ballroom at Glen Echo Park

"When vocalist Chelsea Reed brought five of her friends together to play some tunes in a South Philly dining room in October 2012 little did she know that someday she and her band of handsome gentlemen would find themselves playing at the latest DCLX dance event! And not just any DCLX event, but the premier of our newly revamped DCLX'tra series. It's not our main dance exchange, it is a special gift from us to you! Hope to see you there!

As usual, beginner lesson with fabulous local instructors included in your admission.

Gin Dance Company Presenting 'East Meets West'

The Atlas Performing Arts Center - The Lang Theater

This special evening will premier Artistic Director Shu-Chen Cuff’s newest works ‘Face to Face’, which explores how technology has changed the way we all interact and connect with each other and a fun and light hearted piece ‘That’s Mozart’ in which Shu-Chen creates and shapes the movements into Mozart’s humorous and playful music notes.  We are very excited to have GDC’s very own Elizabeth Lucrezio create a brand new work for the company called ‘Just One’ which explores the impact a simple, seemingly insignificant act can have… an act that may not change the world, but may mean the world to Just One.  We will also be performing GDC’s signature piece ‘The Teller’ which the character of a Chinese fortune teller will be portrayed throughout the dance. This work delivers an awakening message for people to take charge and tell your own story. Come join us and let us take you on a journey from the East to the West!
