This year's Castleton Festival, taking place between Saturday 28 June and Sunday 20 July in Rappahannock County, Virginia, includes opera, orchestra concerts, chamber music, and lots more. The opening and closing performances are both of Puccini's masterpiece Madama Butterfly. In the final performance, baritone Anthony Eversole sings the role of the U.S. Consul Sharpless. Eversole spoke with Classical WETA's Marilyn Cooley about the role, and about being invited to Castleton.
