Event Recap: Preview screening of THE WAR

Over 500 members of the Greater Washington, D.C. community joined WETA at the historic Lincoln Theatre for a preview screening of THE WAR, a film directed and produced by Ken Burns and Lynn Novick.

The evening included remarks by WETA's president and CEO, Sharon Percy Rockefeller, and vice-president of television, Kevin Harris; 50 minutes of clips from THE WAR; and a panel discussion between filmmakers, Ken Burns and Lynn Novick with three local veterans: Quentin Aanenson, a fighter pilot in World War II, John McCary, a former Arabic specialist in the conflict in Iraq, and Harry G. Robinson III, a Bronze Star and a Purple Heart recipient for his service in Vietnam.
