Polly Povejsil Heath is responsible for finance, information technology, human resources, facilities and administrative functions at WETA. She serves on WETA's Executive Committee of the four corporate officers. Heath also is Treasurer of the Board of Trustees.
She came to WETA with 20 years of financial and general management experience in media and publishing. At America Online, Inc., she was vice president of key audiences, leading development of content and business models for the health, teen, women and parenting services on AOL. Over seventeen years at The Washington Post Company, she worked in the business and editorial operations of the newspaper, in the company's new media businesses and as the corporate controller. Heath was vice president and general manager of The Washington Post's interactive division during the launch of washingtonpost.com in 1996. Prior to The Washington Post, she was a consultant with The Boston Consulting Group and on the audit staff of Price Waterhouse & Co. in Pittsburgh.
Heath holds a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Harvard University and a bachelor's degree in public policymaking and economics from Brown University. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
