Rules and Prizes
Contest is open to children in Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th grades who live in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Northern Virginia. All entries must be postmarked by April 8.
There will be three winners at each grade level; First, second and third place winners.
First place winners at each grade level will have their stories made into a hardcover book! See rules below for information on prizes.
How to Enter
Entries can be submitted one of two ways:

Scanning your story and the completed 2024 WETA PBS Kids Writers Contest Entry Form, and emailing both to writerscontest@weta.org,
or
- Mailing a copy of your story with the completed 2024 PBS Kids Writers Contest Entry to WETA headquarters: WETA PBS Kids Writers Contest, 3939 Campbell Avenue, Arlington, VA 22206
